Keep your PowerPoint fonts and layouts intact with zip uploads
If your presentation uses custom fonts or a precise layout, a zip upload guarantees it looks exactly as you designed it. Because you convert the slides to images on your own machine, every font and layout is preserved perfectly.

When to use a zip upload
For most presentations, uploading your .pptx straight in is all you need - NextSlide converts it, notes and all. Reach for a zip when the result has to be pixel-perfect: custom or licensed fonts, precise typography, or artwork you don't want re-rendered. Because you export the slide images on your own machine, what you see is exactly what every screen gets.
What goes in the zip
- Your slides as PNG images, numbered in order - slide1.png, slide2.png, and so on (one image per slide).
- Exactly one PowerPoint file (.ppt or .pptx) - NextSlide reads your presentation's details and speaker notes from it.
- Nothing else - and the whole zip stays under 200 MB.
1. Export your slides as images
Open your presentation and export it as PNG images - use Export, not Save As (the process is roughly the same in PowerPoint and Keynote). Turn off transparency, and don't create an image for each build stage: one image per slide, named in slide order (slide1.png, slide2.png, …).
2. Put everything in one folder
Send all the exported images into a single folder, and put your .ppt or .pptx in that same folder - just the one file. If you're in Keynote, run a second export - this time as PowerPoint - and drop that file in.
3. Zip the folder
Compress the folder into a single .zip file (up to 200 MB). On Mac: right-click the folder → Compress. On Windows: right-click → Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder.
4. Upload the zip
Upload the zip just like any other presentation - the uploader accepts .ppt, .pptx, and .zip. It'll process and show up in your dashboard in a few moments - with your fonts and layout perfectly intact. From there it presents like any NextSlide presentation: share links, phone clicker, confidence monitors, everything.
